    Learning Outcome: Understand current, evidence-based screening, treatment and care recommendations for patients with liver and gastrointestinal disease and incorporate this knowledge into practice.

    Objectives:

    • Apply screening, diagnosis and patient management strategies for chronic liver and gastrointestinal diseases including viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, complications of cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome, hepatocellular carcinoma, colon cancer and pancreatic cancer.
    • Describe recent clinical advances, including future therapies for viral hepatitis, fatty liver disease, complications of cirrhosis, inflammatory bowel disease, irritable bowel syndrome and hepatocellular carcinoma.

     

    Target Audience: MDs, PAs, APRNs, RNs and other allied health professionals/primary care providers with an interest in liver and gastrointestinal disease.

    Accreditation: The UT Health San Antonio Joe R. & Teresa Lozano Long School of Medicine designates this live activity up to a maximum of 7.25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™.

    The Texas Liver Institute is excited to collaboratively host the 5th Annual GI & Liver Disease Conference for Primary Care and Nursing with UT Health San Antonio. Our goal is to not only share the most relevant and up-to-date information within GI & Liver Disease, but also provide an interactive and engaging educational setting.  This is a one day conference at the beautiful La Cantera Hill Country Resort that offers 7.25 CE’s.
