Jill Gore, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA

Jill Gore graduated from Gannon University's PA Program in 2004. She has worked in primary care, general pediatrics, adult hematology-oncology and adult bone marrow transplant. Her tenure with the BCPAS BOD has included the positions of Vice President, Interim President, and Secretary. She has been the Newsletter Editor since 2008. She serves on the BCPAS CME Committee. In addition, she has given many presentations at national and regional conferences and review courses and has published multiple articles.

Blaine Carmichael, MPAS, PA-C, DFAAPA
 

Mr. Blaine Carmichael is a board certified Physician Assistant at MedFirst Primary Care in San Antonio, Texas, where he provides primary care family medicine to patients of all ages and performs new patient history and physical examinations, as well as periodic screening examinations and primary and urgent care to HMO, PPO, commercial and private patients with physician oversight. After beginning his career with an Associate in Applied Science in Nursing at the Community College of the Air Force, Mr. Carmichael continued his studies at the University of Nebraska Medical Center School of Medicine in Omaha, where he received his Bachelor’s degree in Allied Health Care. He remained there to earn his Master of Physician Assistant Studies, with an emphasis in Occupational Medicine. 

He is a certified Rheumatoid Arthritis Educator. Mr. Carmichael is a Distinguished Fellow of the American Academy of Physician Assistants, a Fellow of the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants, and a Fellow and Co-Founder of the Bexar County Physician Assistant Society. Additionally, he is a Co-Founder and past President of the Association of Family Practice Physician Assistants, and is on the Board of Advisors and a Charter Member of the American College of Clinicians. Among his honors and awards, Mr. Carmichael was selected by the Texas Academy of Physician Assistants as PA of the Year in 1990, and by the University of Texas Health Science Center Physician Assistant Program as the Clinical Preceptor of the Year in 2007. His research has involved metabolic, respiratory and gastroenterology studies, with his work being published in the American Journal of Managed Care, the Journal of Family Practice, and Arthritis Practitioner, among others.

Katrina Zedan, PA-C
Katrina graduated with double majors in Sports Medicine and Sociology from Stetson University. She holds a Masters degree in Physician Assistant Studies in Family Medicine and is certified by the NCCPA. She was a member of the National Health Service Corps after graduating from PA school and worked in medically underserved areas. She gained experience in Urgent Care settings and worked as a first assist in Orthopedic, OBGYN, General and Neuro-Spinal surgery.

Katrina received extensive training in ENT, and is currently working at the South Texas Sinus Institute. She has lectured to medical providers and members of the community on the benefits of Balloon Sinuplasty. She is finalizing research papers to publish data demonstrating the success of Balloon Sinuplasty in patients that suffer from Chronic Sinusitis and Eustachian Tube Dysfunction. She is an active member of the Society of Physician Assistants in Otorhinolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery.

Katrina is a revision author for the medical textbook "The 5-Minute Clinical Consult." She is also a published author of a non-fiction self help book on Single Parenting.

Susan Odgen, PA-C
 
Susan Ogden graduated from the UTHSCSA PA program in June of 2016. While at UTHSCSA, she served as President of the Class of 2016 and received a Community Service Grant from UT Medicine to do research on exercise protocols in cancer survivors. She is employed as a family medicine PA at Family Health of South Texas, in the Westover Hills area. Prior to PA school, Susan earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Technology and worked as a hospital lab tech before going into medical sales. She earned an MBA from Indiana University, with an emphasis in Marketing.

After moving to Texas in 1996, Susan trained to become a fitness educator and was employed by Spectrum Clubs for 15 years to help clients improve their health thru lifestyle changes. She partnered with UT School of Medicine in several research projects on the role of exercise in cancer prevention and breast cancer recovery and has been published in oncology journals for the team’s work. Her most recent article on cultural competency was published in the AAPA online journal in May 2016.

John Bojanski, PA-S


John graduated from Texas A&M International University with a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. He is currently working towards a Master’s degree in Physician Assistant Studies at UT Health San Antonio (Class of 2019). Prior to PA school, John was a middle school Science Teacher at Cigarroa Middle School in Laredo, Texas. John founded a “Future Health Professionals” organization that allows students to be introduced to the many opportunities available within the field of healthcare.
